PORTALS OF PEACE

A Moment to Take the Signs Down—and Put Something New Up

Following a recent reflection shared by Canada’s Prime Minister, Mark Carney, we’re reminded of a time when windows were filled with signs of support—even when doubt and discomfort existed. His message was clear: it’s time to take those signs down.

But taking the sign down isn’t enough.

In a world of growing division and mistrust, empty windows invite fear. Portals of Peace offers something new—not a political message or a protest, but a visible practice of presence, connection, and shared humanity.

A Peace Portal is a simple, handmade piece of art placed in a window or shared space. It doesn’t deny conflict. It makes cooperation, care, and human recognition visible again.

This is not about perfection or agreement.
It’s an invitation—to pause, to breathe, and to choose not to disappear into silence.

A simple act of creativity. A shared moment of peace. A window into something better.

You’re Invited to The Peace Portal Project

This is not a protest.
It’s a quiet practice of presence.

You’re invited to take part in The Peace Portal Project, hosted by Dr. Katey Hauser in a free weekly Zoom gathering every Sunday at 11:00 M (ET).

Each session begins by slowing down—using simple breathing and a short meditation to gently notice what safety feels like in the body. You’re always free to keep your eyes open, step aside, or participate in your own way. Nothing here is mandatory.

From that grounded place, you’ll be guided in creating your own Peace Portal using paint, paper, intuition, and whatever materials you already have at home. The portal you create can be placed in a window or shared space as a visible sign of connection.

You don’t need artistic skill.
You don’t need the right words.
You don’t need to believe the same things as anyone else.

There’s no pressure, no expectations, and no artistic rules—just presence, creativity, and intention.

This offering is completely free. If you feel moved to support the work, donations are warmly welcomed but never required. Your support helps sustain this practice and allows these spaces for collective healing and peace to continue.

Join Us on Sunday!

In a time where so much feels loud, heavy, and fractured—this is an invitation to do something quiet, meaningful, and human.

Create a portal. Place it in your window. Let peace be visible.

Here, art is not about skill, performance, or outcome.
It is a vehicle for exploration — a way to touch the unseen, to feel what has been frozen, to move what has been stuck, and to remember what has been forgotten.
